Welcome Cathy Rodgers – Southeast Region’s New Executive Director

Canine Companions is excited to announce that Cathy Rodgers has returned to our organization, accepting her new role as Executive Director of the Southeast Region. After her tenure at Canine Companions from 2007 – 2015, Cathy served as the Director of Philanthropy and Marketing for Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.  There, Cathy was a member of the executive leadership team that developed the overall budget, set strategies, and carried out annual goals and objectives for the area’s largest and oldest animal welfare agency.

Cathy has nearly 20 years’ experience in fundraising, staff management, marketing and communications. As executive director, she will oversee the Southeast Region’s annual budget and will be responsible for the management and stewardship of donors and volunteers to ensure long-term stability and financial growth for the region.

“I am thrilled to be back at the Southeast Region of Canine Companions,” says Cathy. “I have always had a deep passion for Canine Companions and their life-changing mission. I am excited to work with the dedicated staff, volunteers and supporters to further enhance and support the Southeast Region.”

Cathy has a B.A. in English Literature from SUNY College at Fredonia, Fredonia, NY and she also graduated from Rollins College Crummer School of Business Management Certificate Program.  She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and was a member both of ATHENA NextGen Orlando – Class 5 and Leadership Orlando – Class 77.
