NextHome and Canine Companions

NextHome logo

NextHome real estate franchise selected Canine Companions as their official national charity partner in 2019. The partnership drives donation efforts from all offices nationwide. NextHome is encouraging its members, friends, families and supporters to help raise funds to support the mission of Canine Companions.

DogFest is Canine Companions’ national signature event and a great opportunity for you to connect with Canine Companions in your local community. With your help, we can unite more people with service dogs in a powerful program that leads to greater independence and confidence.

Get Involved

With DogFest, you have the opportunity to partner with a world-class organization that changes lives. You can create a fundraising team and become a sponsor. The good news is you can participate regardless of your location!

Create a Fundraising Team

Encourage your NextHomies to get involved in DogFest by forming a team to raise funds in advance of the event. Working with our local volunteers, you can hold a “lunch and learn” to meet a Canine Companions dog and learn about our organization.

Become a Sponsor

Your sponsorship enables Canine Companions to place more service dogs, free of charge, to children, adults and veterans with disabilities. In addition to making a difference in someone’s life, the support provided by your sponsorship showcases goodwill throughout your community and in the workplace. You will benefit from increased exposure through the variety of sponsorship benefits provided.

Don’t live near a DogFest event? That’s ok! You can still participate by registering and fundraising. Pick the location nearest you or select any event. Join the fun!

Naming a Puppy

The honor of naming a puppy is for any registered individual that raises $15,000. That doesn’t mean if you have a team or group that wants to fundraise together that you cannot name a puppy, but it does mean that you need to register your group as an individual.

How does this work?

Let’s say you have five people in your office or team, and you all want to fundraise together to reach $15,000 to name a Canine Companions puppy. You register on the DogFest site of your choosing and select Register as an individual. You can name your account anything you’d like, for example NextHome By The Bay where “NextHome” is the first name and “By The Bay” is the last name. Everyone then fundraises under this single account. When you reach the $15,000 threshold, you have the honor of naming a puppy!

Please note that to be able to name a puppy, you cannot register with Start a Team and have individual accounts fundraising together. This benefit is only for those that Register as an Individual. For more information, please click here to contact us.
