It’s National Volunteer Month! And, that means it’s volunteer appreciation month at Canine Companions! Whether you have dedicated one day or a lifetime of service to support our mission, we thank you for your contribution. With the generous work of over 4,700 volunteers across the country, we have been able to advance our cause – empowering and enhancing independence for over 7,500 people with disabilities.
Get ready for a dog-gone good time! DogFest is the best way to get involved with our mission and a great way to meet other volunteers. You can get involved by fundraising, helping at booths, promoting it in your communities – or all of the above!
Now through June 30, World of Beer (WOB) is giving customers a chance to create good in our communities. They are donating $1 from the sale of every WOB Gives Back Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy and $1 for every Tito’s Vodka Lavender Spritz cocktail to Canine Companions.
Service dog access rights can be confusing, but don’t worry, Canine Companions has you covered! When you register as a Canine Companions volunteer advocate, you’ll have access to our exclusive webinars and opportunities to amplify our voice in support of service dog users! Learn the myths and facts about service dogs by joining our webinar on April 21.
