We are excited to welcome Dr. Sarah Lee to the Canine Companions veterinary team. Sarah, a Bay Area native, received a B.S. in psychology from U.C. Davis in 2004 and then received a doctorate of veterinary medicine from Western University of Health Sciences Veterinary School in 2008. While in school, she worked with various animal rescue groups and the Marin Humane Society. Since 2009, she worked locally at Redwood Veterinary Clinic as a general practitioner and emergency clinician until transitioning to Canine Companions. Sarah loves veterinary medicine, but when she isn’t working, she is usually with her kids, spending time in the backyard with her chickens or hiking with her dog Sam. Sarah is looking forward to meeting and working with the wonderful staff and volunteers.
“We’re thrilled to have Dr. Sarah Lee join the Canine Companions veterinary team. She brings over 12 years of experience as a veterinarian and a broad skillset that spans internal medicine, surgery, emergency care and breeding. She has fit in seamlessly with the team and already taken point on care of the puppies at our Canine Early Development Center,” says Dr. Brenda Kennedy, national director of canine health and research.
Dr. Sarah Lee shares, “I am so excited to have joined the wonderful team at Canine Companions. It is an absolute honor to be caring for the puppies here at Canine Early Development Center. I look forward to meeting more of Canine Companions staff and volunteers in the future.”
