Kearria Never Stopped Breaking Barriers
Kearria is the definition of resilience. Senseless gun violence turned her life upside down during spring break, resulting in Kearria having to re-learn how to walk and speak again. However, when she met Darling, her Canine Companions service dog who is trained in 45 commands, her independence blossomed. Service Dog Darling helps open doors and carry items for Kearria – something that can be difficult after a traumatic brain injury and stroke. With Darling’s support, Kearria returned to college and received her bachelor’s degree this spring. Our donors made this possible. Click here to contribute now.
