Supporters of Canine Companions returning and new convened at the Newport Beach Country Club on June 6, 2026 to celebrate independence and further our mission. Glendale Police Department Officer Amy Tate provided fantastic direction as the night’s emcee, auctioneer Zack Krone led an uproarious portion that brought the live auction to a crescendo, and guest speakers Lucy Coleman and Rachel Coleman — joined by Lucy’s service dog Aeble — shared the importance of the mission at Canine Companions.

We have paired more than 8,750 clients with life-changing service dogs since our inception in 1975, and through the generosity of dedicated contributors — such as the attendees of Sit. Stay. Sparkle. Southwest — Canine Companions will continue to lead the way for thousands more in the years to come.
