Supporters of Canine Companions convened at Leonard’s Palazzo on June 26, 2026 to celebrate independence and further our mission. News 12 Long Island Anchor Jenn Seelig provided fantastic direction as the night’s emcee, auctioneer Tom Stebbins led an uproarious portion that brought the live auction to a crescendo, and guest speakers Successor client Lauren Hemmerly with service dog Daler and her puppy raiser Farmingdale School Superintendent Paul Defendini shared the importance of the mission at Canine Companions.

We have paired more than 8,750 clients with life-changing service dogs since our inception in 1975, and through the generosity of dedicated contributors — such as the attendees of Sit. Stay. Sparkle.  — Canine Companions will continue to lead the way for thousands more in the years to come.
