“I have been fortunate to have had the company of dogs since I was born. My first dog, Lucky, was a light brown Chesapeake Bay. She was true to her lineage, intelligent, affectionate, happy, and a wonderful companion of my first ten years in North Africa. Tambour in Switzerland, and then Oboe, Piccolo, Arabelle, Lola, and Pataud in Texas. The affection and comfort that our canine friends can provide is overwhelming and for many life changing. I am honored and happy to have been asked to the board of Canine Companions, I am looking forward to serve and participate in its great mission.”
