There, he witnessed firsthand how Canine Companions service dogs positively impacted the lives of fellow veterans undergoing similar treatments. After applying for a service dog, Chris was eventually called to attend service dog Team Training and was blessed with his Canine Companions Service Dog Wadsworth II.

Chris brings a wealth of experience from his 22-year service in the Navy, where he retired as a Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman. He currently serves as a Senior Management Analyst/Auditor for the Department of State, Office of the Inspector General. His background provides him with a unique understanding of the needs of those with service dogs at a ground level. Chris views Canine Companions as the leader and role model for other service dog organizations, considering it the top organization in the industry.
