This Valentine’s Day, Canine Companions facility dogs at more than 18 hospitals across the country carried out a special mission: delivering love and encouragement in the form of handmade Valentines to patients, families and dedicated hospital staff.
These highly trained facility dogs provide comfort, connection and moments of relief during what can often be stressful or uncertain times. Through a calm presence and meaningful interaction, they help brighten the hospital environment and offer emotional support when it is needed most.
News stations nationwide visited participating hospitals to capture these meaningful moments, highlighting the positive impact facility dogs have on the individuals and communities they serve.
