Canine Companions therapy dog teams provide a wide range of support across communities, from providing emotional support to building confidence and enhancing life skills. These group of therapy dogs help wounded veterans and other people with disabilities catch waves and experience the thrill of the ocean, showing just how incredible the power of the human-canine bond truly is.

Thank you to our community and supporters for making this year’s National Service Dog Month an incredible success! As we continue to celebrate our 50th year, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve received 166 total proclamations from one federal, 32 states, 24 counties and 109 cities for 2025!

Clean out your garage this Cartober, and help more people match with our service dogs, free of charge. Your unwanted vehicle provides greater independence to children, adults and veterans with disabilities. Pick-up is free, and your gift is tax-deductible!

“Andy: A Dog’s Tale,” the heartwarming short film about Andy, a Canine Companions puppy, will be available as a book starting on October 14! Follow Andy’s journey, as he overcomes challenges to discover his purpose as a life-changing service dog.

Join the celebration at 2025’s very last National Graduation Day on Friday, November 7. Cheer on our newest graduates – either in person or online – as they start their new journeys with their service dog partners.
