Raised on a dairy ranch in Ferndale, Northern California, Darcy developed a lifelong love of animals and an appreciation for their comfort and companionship. Together with her husband, Ken, she has supported Canine Companions for many years through event attendance and ongoing philanthropic giving.

After earning her degree in business and accounting from Sonoma State University, Darcy joined her husband in developing VIP Petcare, a company providing affordable, preventive healthcare for cats and dogs. Following the company’s sale in 2018, Darcy turned her focus to organizations that promote mental and physical well-being. She has coached junior high basketball, encouraging teamwork and perseverance, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, sitting on both the Executive and Finance Committees. She also serves on the Canine Companions Finance Committee.

In her free time, Darcy enjoys gardening, cooking, exploring the outdoors, and traveling with her husband. With their two children now adults, she appreciates the opportunities they have to gather as a family and share new experiences.
