Taylor Chang, Senior Vice President, Technology

Taylor Chang joined Canine Companions in 2023 as the Vice President of Technology, leading the organization’s efforts to transform technology into a core component of delivering the mission. Taylor brings over 20 years of experience in technology implementations and strategic operations. Taylor started her career at IBM as a consultant in the Global Business Services practice. She led infrastructure design, testing and end-user training of financial systems, earning her the IBM Service Excellence Award.

Taylor moved into the non-profit space to manage financial operations at DonorsChoose, a crowdfunding website for public school education projects. As the Vice President of Finance, Taylor prioritized technology solutions to optimize revenue recognition, guarantee secure payment processing, and use Big Data to manage cost allocations. As the Director of Strategy at Sponsors for Educational Opportunity, Taylor implemented learning management and volunteer engagement systems to broaden program reach, to create internship opportunities for underrepresented minorities in industries such as investment banking and venture capitalism.

Taylor pursued her passion for technology at software start-up Kustomer, where she led technical teams in the implementation of the omni-channel CRM and advanced integrations with platforms such as Shopify, SendGrid, and AWS data streams. Kustomer was purchased by Meta at a $1 billion valuation, and Taylor continued her leadership at Meta as a strategic project manager, deepening her skillset in enterprise software development.

Taylor’s diverse experience spans for-profit and non-profit spaces, start-ups and multi-location organizations, and a wide range of disciplines. Her client engagements include the Department of Defense, FEMA, NBCUniversal, Hopper, Getir, Procter & Gamble, Good American, and Daily Harvest.

Taylor has an MBA from Columbia Business School and she graduated cum laude from Georgetown University.
