The Emerald Coast Volunteer Chapter of Canine Companions encompasses the Florida coastal areas along the Gulf of Mexico, as well as Mississippi and Alabama.
Chapter members include graduates, volunteers, puppy raisers and donors who are enthusiastic about support the mission of Canine Companions – providing expertly trained service dogs for people with disabilities, free of charge.
Volunteer chapters raise awareness, recruit new puppy raisers and volunteers, and support one another’s work on behalf of the mission in many ways. We are a lively network filled with opportunities for social engagement, from puppy classes to fundraisers. Beyond the satisfaction of doing good work for a good cause, lifelong friendships are often formed among chapter members.

U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced the appointment of 17 members to the re-established Air Carrier Access Act Advisory Committee (ACAA Advisory Committee) including Canine Companions CEO Paige Mazzoni.
Canine Companions is thrilled to announce its participation in “Cartober,” a month-long giving campaign that promotes vehicle donations to support charitable causes.
As a volunteer puppy raiser, Nick takes Enzo to many places, allowing him to socialize with strangers, attend classes, walk amid crowds and become familiar with the world around him.
Service Dog Oscar was partnered with Sean in 2022, free of charge, and he would be key to bringing Sean and his family companionship and help.
