Welcome to the Coastal Carolina Chapter volunteer website. Our chapter members include graduates, volunteers, puppy raisers and supporters from Savannah, Hilton Head, Charleston, Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, who are enthusiastic to support the mission of Canine Companions through fundraising and community awareness.

We are a lively network filled with many opportunities for engagement, from giving presentations, raising public awareness, planning fundraising events and just providing fun and support to all those that share the passion and mission of Canine Companions.

Lisa Dare

Lisa discovered service dogs in 2016 while volunteering at a Cleveland school. Inspired by Canine Companions and their mission, she began volunteering with Canine Companions and puppy raising. Moving to North Carolina, she joined and later supported the Carolina's Chapter, fostering community growth and guiding new members. ““I love the impact and the work we do with the dogs and the community; the entire process is so meaningful to me,” says Lisa. “The entire journey of raising a future service dog and the milestones in, training, matching and graduation are the most impactful for me.”
