Welcome to the Greater Atlanta Volunteer Chapter website. Our chapter includes graduates, volunteers, puppy raisers and donors who are enthusiastic about the mission of Canine Companions – providing expertly trained service dogs for people with disabilities, free of charge. We are a volunteer group that supports Canine Companions at the local level by raising public awareness, recruiting new applicants and puppy raisers, and organizing fundraising events.
If you’re looking for deeper engagement as a Canine Companions volunteer, we encourage you to get involved with the Greater Atlanta Chapter. We work to raise awareness, raise funds, recruit new puppy raisers and volunteers and support one another’s work on behalf of the Canine Companions’ mission.
We are a lively network filled with opportunities for social engagement, from puppy classes to fundraisers. Beyond the satisfaction of doing good work for Canine Companions, lifelong friendships are often formed among chapter members. If you are interested in working with our chapter, contact us. We’d love to meet you!
We hope you can join us on October 10 for the 4th annual event at the Atlanta National Golf Club. The format is a

The Pensacola Ice Flyers announced today the addition of a new team pup, a future service dog that they have named Buccella, and their recommitment to the nonprofit organization Canine Companions for the 2023-24 season. The Ice Flyers’ second team puppy’s name pays homage to the late Dan “Bucky” Buccella, one of the most beloved players in the history of Pensacola hockey.
