
LOS ANGELES, Calif.
Canine Companions for Independence hosted another record-breaking HAUTE DOG | LA event on Sunday, October 20. The event raised more than $350,000 for the non-profit, which provides expertly trained assistance dogs for people with disabilities. The evening featured a celebrity-filled doggie runway fashion show, dinner, live and silent auction, and the Paws of Distinction Award presented to Tommy Lasorda and his family for their years of support of Canine Companions. Actor John O’Hurley was back to host the evening for the second year in a row. He was joined on stage by Paul Shaffer, Julie Chen Moonves, Gary Anthony Williams, Tom Kenny and Karen Sharp to judge the doggie runway fashion show.
The event brought together 400 dog lovers and supporters of the organization, including celebrities Michael McDonald, Alex Meneses, Laura San Giacomo, Matt Adler, Al Schmitt, Jackie Joseph, Jo Anne Worley, Jason Lopez, Leland Sklar, Todd Sherry, Ed Begley Jr., Rachelle Carson Begley, celebrity chef Mychael Chang and many more!
