President – Kathy Taylor
Kathy has been involved with Canine Companions for Independence since 2007 when she received her first Hearing Dog “Miss Janet.” She received her successor Hearing Dog Spain in 2016. She knows first first hand the difference these dogs can make in someone’s life and she wants to give back to Canine Companions.
Kathy is a system design engineer for a major telecommunication company and travels throughout the United States with her Hearing Dog Spain. She moved to Nashville TN. in 2018 and looks forward to retirement in the next few years.
Secretary – Elise LaGrone
Elise’s introduction to Canine Companions for Independence came in 2014 after visiting a university that had a Canine Companions Collegiate Club. Elise attended Southern Methodist University in 2016 where she got involved with the Lone Star Chapter in Dallas, TX., and she raised Paulie III during her time in college. Following her graduation Elise moved back to her hometown of Nashville, TN., where she has enjoyed connecting with the Nashville community and looks forward to seeing how the Nashville Canine Companions family grows.
