Welcome to the South Florida Chapter Website. Our chapter serves the East coast of South Florida. Our membership includes graduates, volunteers, puppy raisers and donors, who are all enthusiastic about supporting the mission of Canine Companions – providing highly trained assistance dogs for people with disabilities, free of charge.

VOLUNTEER WITH THE SOUTH FLORIDA CHAPTER

If you’re looking for deeper engagement as a Canine Companions volunteer, we encourage you to get involved with our chapter. The South Florida Chapter is an extension of the Southeast Region, located in Orlando, FL. We work to raise awareness, raise funds recruit new puppy raisers and volunteers and support one another’s work on behalf of the Canine Companions’ mission.

We are a lively network filled with opportunities for social engagement, from puppy classes to fundraisers. Beyond the satisfaction of doing good work for Canine Companions, lifelong friendships are often formed among chapter members. If you are interested in working with our chapter, contact us. Pensacola Ice Flyers Announce New Puppy

The Pensacola Ice Flyers announced today the addition of a new team pup, a future service dog that they have named Buccella, and their recommitment to the nonprofit organization Canine Companions for the 2023-24 season. The Ice Flyers’ second team puppy’s name pays homage to the late Dan “Bucky” Buccella, one of the most beloved players in the history of Pensacola hockey.
