Canine Companions Chief Financial Officer Keith Edwards joined the organization in 2022 to lead the financial strategy and financial operations of the organization. He brings more than 25 years of professional experience that spans all aspects of auditing, accounting, reporting and financial management, from positions within both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
His career started in auditing before moving into Fortune 100 high-tech and telecommunication companies, where he gained international experience leading shared service and SAP implementations for their European operations, as well as managing accounting teams, business support and financial planning processes.
Originally from England, Keith moved to the United States in 2008 and began volunteering in finance departments of two San Francisco nonprofits. Later, he took roles as CFO at two other nonprofits: one helping victims of child sex abuse and another connecting homeless communities to housing and mental health services.
Keith holds a degree in business administration from the University of Dundee in Scotland, and he is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants in the UK (CPA qualification).
