Jack Peirce joined Canine Companions for Independence as chief financial officer and corporate treasurer in 2016. Jack leads the financial, accounting and business operations of Canine Companions and assists with corporate governance matters, strategic initiatives and major operational projects. Canine Companions’ mission appealed to his desire to join the organization.
Previously, Jack was executive vice president and chief financial officer at the University of Illinois Alumni Association joining the non-profit in May 2005 and serving for nearly 11 years. Under Jack’s leadership the association’s net assets and reserves grew during his tenure by $3.3 million to $18.5 million. He also spent more than 10 years with Wall Street firms in corporate and institutional advisory positions. Jack earned an A.B. in economics with a business minor at the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. with honors in finance and accounting at the University of Chicago.
